Deborah Sue Tatum, fondly known as "Debbie," passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton Georgia. She was born on March 15, 1957, at Jelks Hospital in Reidsville, Georgia to John C. and Blanche Kicklighter Tatum and lived here all of her life. Debbie was a 1975 graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy and a graduate of Swainsboro Tech.

Debbie dedicated many years of her life to serving as a receptionist at Tattnall Memorial Hospital, where her warm smile and kind demeanor left an indelible mark on all those she encountered. She had an unwavering work ethic and commitment to helping others even with her own challenges.

Outside of her professional life, Debbie found joy in exploring the world with the Tattnall Travelers, feeding her passion for travel and adventure. She was a dedicated member of the Reidsville Baptist Church, where her faith and compassion shone brightly as she greeted each child that came through the doors.

Debbie will be dearly missed, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by, a very special and devoted friend, Becky Dasher, two brothers, Ted Tatum (Brenda) of Reidsville, Georgia, Eddie Tatum (Mary) Tatum of Seneca, South Carolina; two nieces, SuzAnne Lamb (Smitty), Denise Tatum; a nephew, Trevor Tatum (Melissa); great nieces, Tatum Lamb Wilson, Mia Tatum; great nephews, Beau Brinson Lamb and Parker Tatum.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Brannen Family Funeral Servies. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
