Deborah (Debbie) A. Thomas, 67 of LaFayette, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 25th, 2023 after a long battle with illness. She fought until the very end proving to us all even further that she was an absolute force to be reckoned with. Resilient, devoted, strong, patient, loving- there are so many words that describe her but could never fully place a picture of what a truly amazing, irreplaceable woman, mother, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother that she was. She enjoyed gardening, she had so much pride in how beautiful she made her gardens. She loved cooking large Sunday dinners for her family just so we could all be together. Her family was her world and she proved that so by being a devoted homemaker for most of her life for her loving husband and children. The emptiness her passing has left us all is immense. We are surrounded by countless beautiful memories of her and we know we will find peace knowing she is no longer in pain, a pain that she struggled with for a long time and did not deserve, she can finally rest and be reunited with her mother and father. She will forever
live in the hearts of her family, husband John Thomas Sr., daughters Stacy (Fred) Koenig, Colleen (Jeremy) Cudd. son John Jr. (Kathy) Thomas, grandchildren Kayla (Bobby), Mason (Emily), Austin, Johnny (May), Camrin, Carter, Aven and Hayden; great-granddaughter Freyja, and many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will see her again someday and until then search for her signs that she will be watching over us. She will be forever loved and missed.
Calling hours will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, August 2nd 2023 at Ballweg and Lunsford Funeral Home 2584 Field Lane, Lafayette
Memorial service will follow at 12 PM. A celebration of life will be held at the Nedrow Fire Department to follow
