Deborah B. Thompson, 71, of Lincolnton, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC on April 21, 2024. She was born in Gaston County on March 28, 1953, to the late Buford & Louise Bumgardner.

Deborah's life will be celebrated at the Real Life Community Church in Iron Station, NC. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on April 25, 2024 followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 officiated by Rev. Lee Claypoole and Rev. Brock Bruce.

A devout woman of faith, Deborah found peace in reading her Bible. When able, she attended UR Church and Real Life Community Church with her family. She was a faithful prayer warrior to so many of her friends and family members. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, completing word searches, and indulging in shopping sprees.

Among her proudest accomplishments are her family, and her unconditional love for them. Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Thompson; her sister, Katie Thompson; her Aunt Bet; and her dearest and closest confidant, brother from another mother, Jim Doster.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa England (Randy), Lori Glenn (Jack), Sister, Renee McKinnish; brothers, Jr. Bumgardner (Traci), Brian Bumgardner (Jackie); five grandchildren, Dustin, Bryant, Cameron, Donovan, Heather; and nine great-grandchildren.

Deborah's warm smile, kind soul, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace surrounded by the love she so freely gave during her lifetime.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gaston County Hospice/ Robin Johnson House, 2240 Remount Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
