Deborah A. Varnadoe

Mrs. Deborah Alexander Varnadoe, age 69 of 112 John St., Union, widow of Marcus David Varnadoe, Sr. passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025 at Union Medical Center.

Mrs. Varnadoe was born in Union, April 13, 1956, a daughter of the late Arthur and Shirley Hawkins Alexander. She was a graduate of Union High School and the University of South Carolina, Union. Mrs. Varnadoe formerly worked at Conso Products as a sales representative. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Melisa Murphy and husband Stefan and Amanda Davis and husband Jason all of Union; a son, Marcus Varnadoe, Jr. of the home; a sister, Donna Sumner and husband Mark of Abbeville; and five grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Breanna Davis, Hayden Murphy, Lila Murphy and Colt Murphy. She was also survived by nieces, Megan Gilmer (B.J.), Brittany Sumner (Ryan Fletcher), and great nieces, Aubrey Gilmer and Riley Kate Gilmer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2026 at Glory Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Neil Keisler. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Amanda and Jason Davis, 235 Newland Dr., Union.
