Jacob Casey

Jacob Christopher Casey, age 27, of 103 Medford Loop, Buffalo, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home.

Jacob was born on October 13, 1998, in Spartanburg, to Chris and Christy Anthony Casey. A 2017 graduate of Union County High School, he earned his Associate of Arts degree in Cyber Security and Crime and was currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Jacob had previously been employed at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and Midway BBQ.  He was lifelong member of Buffalo Baptist Church.  Jacob was a positive light to all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his siblings, Kalyn Casey and Thomas Casey of the home; his girlfriend, Kailee Stepp of Union; his maternal grandmother, Dianne Anthony; his paternal grandmother, Carol Knox; his aunt and uncle, Beth and Dee Anthony; an aunt, Lona Anthony (Miranda Sullivan); an uncle, Jeff Casey of Pauline; special cousins: Dakota Anthony, DJ Anthony (Emma), Emily Anthony and Maddie Dean Bailey; cousins: Morgan Casey, Chelsea Casey, Zachery Young, Corey Johnson, Storm Anthony, and MaKensley Casey; and his cat, Puddy Casey; he was predeceased by, his maternal grandfather, Tommy Anthony, Sr; his paternal grandfather, Robert Casey; his great-grandparents, Norma and Charles Summer and Nanie and Julian Casey; and his uncle, Billy Anthony.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jamie Vaughan and Rev. Shawn Ingle. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Noah McCutcheon, Clint Bailey, Hunter Plemmons, Jacob Gregory, Dustin Scruggs, Andrew Cavendar, Corey Johnson, Dakota Anthony, Dillon Sumner, and Zachery Young.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
