Robert Casey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pinehaven Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC on Mar. 4, 2026.
Robert William Casey, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Bob was born on May 22, 1950, in Bronx, New York, to Bob and Mitzi Casey.

He graduated from Madison Township High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey, in 1968.

Following graduation, Bob proudly served two years in the United States Navy. In 1973, Bob

married the love of his life, Denise, and together they moved to South Mississippi in 1974,

where they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. Bob was truly a jack of all

trades. Over the years, he worked numerous jobs and developed exceptional skills as a

mechanic, electrician, electronics technician, and carpenter. He was known for his ability

to fix nearly anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed an active

life filled with skiing, camping, canoeing, golf, tennis, and bowling. Bob had a deep

appreciation for cars and motorcycles, especially classic Mustangs and Harley-Davidsons.

Above all, his faith was central to his life. He was active in his church, loved participating in

Bible study, and found great joy in sharing the good news with others.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mitzi Casey. He is survived by his

beloved wife, Denise Casey; daughter, Felicia Casey; grandson, Aiden Lajaunie; sons,

Jason Casey (Bethany), and James Casey; sisters, Mary Nebus (Joe), Denise Casey, and

Maureen Smith (Jim) and brother, Jack Casey (Darlene). He also leaves behind many

extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Services will be held at Hattiesburg Community Church on March 5, 2026, with visitation

beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Bob will be

remembered for his strong faith, generous spirit, skilled hands, and deep love for his family.
