Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation ServicesWhitsel, Deborah Kaye (Felten), 74, Shirleysburg, passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025, at Embassy of Woodland Park. Born September 17, 1950, Everett, daughter of the late Charles H. and Shirley L. (Shaffer) Felten. Survived by her loving husband, Daniel R. Whitsel. Also survived by sons, Daniel C. Whitsel and wife, Rebecca; and David A. Whitsel and wife, Angela; 3 grandchildren, Julianna, Ava, and Saylor Whitsel; 2 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Whitsel graduated from Everett High School before attending junior college in Delaware where she met Mr. Whitsel. The two became owners and operators of Danny’s Place in Mount Union for 42 years. She enjoyed good music and was a past community choir member. Mrs. Whitsel liked birds and wildlife—making their home a wildlife refuge. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday September 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 12 noon. Inurnment to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley Street, Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care TM.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
