Funeral services for Debra Leann Ayres, 57, will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Debra was born on June 13, 1968, to Oscar Lee and Elizabeth Ann Metzger and passed away on August 25, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Debra was a graduate of Northwestern State University and received her bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked at Willis Knighton Progressive Care Center in Shreveport, LA for many years and developed many wonderful relationships with coworkers and her beloved patients.
In her free time, Debra had many hobbies such as gardening, cooking, and making floral arrangements. She loved to take camping trips to Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; son, Rory Lynn Laborde Jr. and spouse, Taylor, of Gloster, Louisiana; daughters, Racheal Sandifer and spouse, Brad, of Benton, Louisiana, Michelle Davis and spouse, Colton, of Bivens, Texas, and Leona “Nicky” Ayres of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren, Landon and Lexi Sandifer, Cayden Farley, and Colton Wayne Davis, Jr.; siblings, Billy Campbell, Marie Woodel, Aimee Park, Kris Metzger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honoring Debra as pallbearers will be Brad Sandifer, Christopher Woodel, Seth Woodel, Billy Campbell, Coty Lewis, Dylan Campbell, and Lucas Campbell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Landon Sandifer, Cayden Farley, and Colton Wayne Davis, Jr.
