Debra Ann Basham, age 71, of Roosevelt, passed away June 28, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born April 12, 1951, in Roosevelt, to Patrick Bud and Freda Etha Larsen Markey. She married Ronald Gene Basham, on May 17, 1974.
Deb was a special person to all that knew her, she was a friend to everyone. She loved her family, extended family, and friends. She was a foster mom to many kids throughout the years and loved them as her own.
She loved to cook and make sure visitors ate before they left. She loved to swim and spent most of her summers at the lake with friends and family. She loved camping, spending time in the mountains and enjoyed most things outdoors. If anybody knew Deb, they knew she loved animals. She had the most infectious laugh; you could distinguish her from a crowded room.
She is survived by, her husband, Ronald Gene Basham; sons, Terrence (Karri) Basham, Salem, Utah; Weldon Raines Roosevelt; brothers, Mike (Glena) Markey, Logan; Jim (Karen) Markey, Roosevelt ; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt East Stake Center. There will be a viewing at the church prior to the services from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Following the funeral, there will be cremation.
A special thanks to Deb’s care givers, Harley Williams, Chris Livingston, and Nikki Kemp. Deb would light up when they came to check on her, she loved them greatly.
