Ms. Debra Dawn Branstutter, 60, of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday morning, January 31, 2023 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Branstutter Sr. and Gwendoline Blanchette Branstutter born on September 2, 1962 in Savannah, GA.
Debra was a former head start teacher with the KCEOC. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling with friends, hiking and exploring nature, coin collecting, taking family vacations and checking things off her bucket list. She treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Debra united in marriage with Ricky Gibson and to this union a child was born. Later she married Clacy Rogers and to this union two children were born. She then married Timothy Barnes and to this union one child was born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Allen Barnes; her grandparents, Henry and Sophia Branstutter and a brother-in-law, Daniel "Runt" Medlin.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie Tracey and husband, Thomas, of Barbourville, Steven Rogers and wife, Kaylee, and Stewart Rogers and fiancé, Brianna Ducker, all of Daytona, FL and Shelly Barnes and fiancé, Cody Wilson, of Barbourville; sisters, Carmen Branstutter of Barbourville and Sylvia Hobbs and Lynn Bargo both of Gray; brothers, Lewis Branstutter Jr. and fiancé, Denise Fee, of Corbin, George Branstutter and wife, Vanda, of Berea and Travis Branstutter and wife, Kendra, of Lily; cherished grandchildren, Cadence and Jeremiah Hines and A. J. and Alyssa Wilson, Persayas Carmen, Pawley and Adara Perretta; nephews, Carson Young, Maverick and Walker Brock; special friend, Kelly Feragen; several nieces and nephews, among other loved ones and dear friends.
Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, February 2 between 6 and 8 P.M. with a celebration of her life beginning at 8 P.M. with Rev. Roy Vaughn officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist her family with funeral expenses.
