Debra R. Copen

Debra R. (Mitcham) Copen, age 68, of Plain City, OH passed away September 10, 2025. She was born September 11, 1956 in Columbus, OH to the late Donald Mitcham Sr. and Ruth Humphrey. Debra was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church where she served in the Alter Guild. She enjoyed playing the bells in the Bell Choir. Debra loved cross stitching, puzzles, camping, baking cookies with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Craig Copen; brother, David Mitcham; and stepfather, Jerry Humphrey. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David Copen; children, Danielle Augustine and Angela (Brian) Miller; grandchildren, Emily Lemon, Cole Miller, Parker Copen-Wilkins and Walker Miller; siblings, Donald (Karen) Mitcham Jr., Diana (Steve) Cline and Danny (Susan) Mitcham; beloved Yorkie, Lily; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit 12-2:00pm on Saturday, September 27, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147 with a memorial service officiated by pastor Brad Gee to follow at 2:00pm.
