John Arthur "Johnny" Walter

John "Johnny" Arthur Walter, age 48, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, went to be with The Lord on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born on August 21, 1977, in Columbus to Lola (Cochrun) and Gerald Walter.

He was a proud graduate of Ohio State University and a devoted Notre Dame fan, an allegiance he wore with good humor and enthusiasm. Intelligent and endlessly curious, he found joy in great music, especially the intricate sounds of Dream Theater. He was genuinely fun to be around, with a presence that put others at ease and made time together feel lighter. Above all else, he lived a life rooted in service to others, giving generously of his time, care, and compassion. His kindness and commitment to helping those around him remain among his most enduring legacies.

He's preceded in death by his father, Gerald Walter.

He is survived by his mother, Lola Walter; siblings, Julie (Rob) Husch, Steve (Karen) Walter, Joe (Brenda) Walter, Karen (Bob) Goldasich, and Robert (Michelle) Walter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
