Debra “Debbie” Marie Heredia, 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on December 3, 2025. Born in Queens, New York, Debbie lived a life centered around love, joy, and the people she held closest to her heart.
To know Debbie was to feel cared for. She dedicated her time, energy, and spirit to making sure everyone around her was happy, whether through a warm hug, a listening ear, a gentle laugh, or a moment of shared music and dancing. She was the kind of woman who could lift a room simply by walking into it, and her compassion left a lasting mark on every life she touched.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, soon-to-be great-grandmother, sister, niece, aunt and friend, Debbie found her greatest purpose in her family. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her world. Music and dancing were woven into her days, reflecting the joy she carried within her and the joy she brought to others.
Debbie will be remembered for her strength, her bravery, her deep devotion, and her boundless capacity to love. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting others first, and her legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering care.
She is survived by her loving husband, Angel; her daughters, Danielle and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Isabella, JD, and Everly; and her brother, Robert. Debbie’s spirit lives on in the memories she created and in the love that will continue to guide her family forward.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 14th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Life Celebration Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. Family and friends who knew and loved Debbie are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
A Poem for Debbie
Though I no longer walk beside you,
I am nearer than I seem.
I live within your memories,
Your laughter and your dreams.
I am the quiet wind that warms you,
The light that guides you through the night.
I am the love that still surrounds you,
Unseen, but holding you tight.
So do not think of me as gone
My spirit stays, my love is near.
I watch over those I cherished most,
In every moment, I am here.
