Debra Hopper Obituary
January 5, 1955 ~ October 15, 2022
Debra "Debbie" Lynn Tweed Hopper of Newburgh, NY peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, October 15, 2022, with her loving husband and daughters at her side. She was born on January 5, 1955 to the late Donald Tweed and Ida Williams.
Graduating from Newburgh Free Academy in 1973, she got married that same September to Peter Hopper. She has worked for Valley Linen, C.C. Industries, and Finkelstein and partners with over 20 years of service. Debbie was devoted to her family and deeply adored her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, had a passion for food, a heart of gold and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband Peter J. Hopper II. She is also survived by her children, Penny Edge and her husband Stephen, Stephanie Wilson and her husband Randy, and Peter J. Hopper IV. In addition, she is survived by her 5 grandchildren, Randy Wilson Jr., William Wilson, Peter A. Hopper, Austin Clausen, and Michael Edge. She is also survived by her siblings; Rusty Warren, Donald Tweed, Heidi Tweed Pinckney, Robert Dellamarco, Lori DiSanti, Christopher Tweed, James Altizer, Janet Altizer, Penny Robinson, Mary "Cookie" Hopper, Sherry Hopper and Jeffrey Tweed, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved stepmother Judith Tweed, and her siblings Gary Warren and Richard Hopper.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Cronomer Valley Firehouse in Newburgh. All are welcome to stop by to pay your respects or stay and celebrate her life with us.
