Debra Kollar Obituary

Debra Lou Kollar, 62, of Rossiter, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Embassy of Hillsdale Park with her husband by her side.

She was born in Clearfield on June 4, 1963, a daughter of the late George Warholak and Dorothy (Krupar) Warholak.

Deb was a 1981 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. Following graduation, she attended Clearfield Vo-Tech for cosmetology and opened her own beauty shop at her home. She later attended DuBois Business College to pursue a diploma as a medical secretary. Mrs. Kollar worked as the head secretary of cardio-pulmonary unit at Penn Highlands DuBois, prior to her illness.

On October 15, 1988, she married John Edward Kollar at St. Francis Church in Clearfield. They enjoyed thirty-eight years of marriage.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Rossiter.

Debra was a woman whose heart was rooted in love, especially for her husband, who was her constant companion. Together they found happiness in the simple things, like going for long car rides with no particular destination or trips to Salamanca. She had a lively spirit and warm presence, always finding delight in a day spent shopping or adding special touches to her home, which she lovingly decorated to reflect each passing season, Christmas held a special place in her heart. She is remembered for playing board games and making the best Gobs and buffalo chicken dip that became a family tradition. The cruises she took with her sisters were very special to her, she loved the quality time they would spend with one another. In her quiet moments she enjoyed working on puzzles and spending time with her beloved cat Princess.

In addition to her husband John, she is survived by two sisters, Anna Marie Warholak and Patricia Warholak of Clearfield; two nieces, Jody Warholak and Jesta (Ken) Adamson; a great-niece, Mia Adamanson; and great-nephew, Max Adamson; two sister-in-laws, Carol Sitosky of Sykesville, and Anna (Ken) Wetzel of Porterfield Road; nephews, John Sitosky, Kenny (Candy) Wetzel, Jamie Wetzel and Danny Wetzel; niece, Renee Zapach.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Thomas J. Warholak and George Warholak.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, celebrated by Father Craig.

Interment will follow at Church of the Resurrection Cemetery in Rossiter.
