Debra C. Milliman, age 75, of Lansing, NY, passed away on September 5, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 20, 1949 in Ithaca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Billie (Minteer) Beck.

She graduated from Baldwinsville High School in 1968. Deb was employed by Cornell University in the College of Veterinary Medicine for 32 years, retiring in 2009. After her retirement, Deb and her husband Herbie wintered in Jacksonville, Florida where they enjoyed time with family. She always had a smile and a hug to offer. She had a deep passion for rescuing animals and giving them their best life. She loved to also go to any venue where there was live music. Deb ended up moving back to Lansing after taking care of her husband and father to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Deb was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Milliman; and brother, Michael Beck.

Deb is survived by her children, Kristie (Douglas) Milliman and Jeffrey (Jennifer Carlton) Oplinger; step-children, Michael (Tammy) Milliman, Doreen (Mark) Osterman, Steven Oplinger, Debbie (Scott) Steiner and Dale Oplinger; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jenna Moore) Ward, Michael Ward, Adam (Kaleea Cummings) Oplinger, Jenna (Bailey Stevens) Oplinger, Jaxson Oplinger, Brian (Beth) Milliman, Nolan (Megan) Milliman, Troy (Lexi) Osterman, Logan Osterman, Kyle (Steph Mastropietro) Milliman and Erica (Alex) Purcell; great-grandchildren, Colton and Bryson Milliman, Miles and Brooks Milliman, and Nova Oplinger; sisters, Denise Beck and Diane (Robert) West; brother, David (Kaori) Beck; nephews, Timothy (Jessica) Everhart, Robert West, Brendon West and Jonathan Hine; and nieces, Valerie (Dail) Everhart Hernandez, Kendra (Rob) Benson and Kayla Beck. Also surviving is Melanie (Kevin) Quinn, who took care of Deb for the past year and became part of the family.

Deb will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield, following a private family committal service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Hospicare or an animal shelter of your choice.
