Debra Carter Mims, 71, of Verbena, Alabama passed away February 25, 2026, at her residence.
She was born May 24, 1954, in Alabama, daughter of the late Clyde Luther Carter and the late Viola Lovejoy Carter.
She was a Homemaker.
Surviving are her Husband, Hershell L. Mims; Daughters, Jodie Ruth Mims, Jennifer Violet (Damon) Abbott, Joanie Elizabeth (Travis) Lawley; Grandsons, Tanner Paul (Kyla) Mims, Damon Tyler (Reanna) Abbott, Nicolas Heath (Abbe) Abbott, Dawson Gabrielle Lawley, Ryan Luke Lawley;Granddaughters, Angel Renee (Patrick) Christofides, Elizabeth Paige (Johnathan) Stoneback, Olivia Grace Lawley, Sarah Rose Lawley; Great-Granddaughters, Alayna Rose Abbott, Riley Elizabeth Christofides, Everleigh Claire Abbott; Great-Grandsons, Mason Tyler Abbott, Jameson McKee Stoneback; Sister, Karen Lynn Bothe; Brother, Clifton Dale (Paulene) Carter.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Clyde Luther Carter; Mother, Viola Lovejoy Carter.
Friends will be received Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Floyd Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Floyd Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Castleberry officiating.
Interment will follow in Floyd Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
