Debra Moriarty Obituary
Born on October 5th, 1956 in Portland. She devoted her life to family and friends. She was a Mom, Nana and Auntie to all, including any souls needing shelter from life's storms.
She was proud of being a WestEnder, growing up there and raising her family in that tight-knit family community. She loved to read, game nights at her sister's house and hanging out with family and friends. Debra's unwavering faith guided her life and motherhood.
Debras favorite passage was the family prayer Psalms 23 but she always had the Footprints poem close by throughout her life. She loved lilacs, her pets and Chuck (Walker) Norris.
Before retirement she worked in heating assistance for Prop, helping people. She loved that job.
Debra is predeceased by her parents Mary E. Mattingly and Hoyt Gray, her brother Wayne, her sister Sharon and brother-in-law Gary. Debra is survived by her son William W Moriarty Sr and his wife Amberlee, her brother William A Sargent and his wife Mary, her sister Elizabeth Howe, sister-in-law Linda, her grandchildren William Moriarty Jr and his girlfriend, Autumn Moriarty and her girlfriend, Terri (Ashlee) Moriarty and many many nieces and nephews.
Visiting/Services will be Saturday January 3 from 10am to noon at Hope Memorial Chapel in Biddeford. A celebration of life will be at William and Amberlee's Home afterward. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk.
