Debra "Debby" Pate Obituary
Debra "Debby" Lynn Giles Pate, age 61, of Sunset Beach, NC, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at her home.
She was born in Wayne County, Michigan on August 21, 1962 to the late John Lynn Giles and Jean Lane Giles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Eugene Pate. Debby loved the Lord with all her heart and had attended James Island Baptist Church and Peace Baptist Church. She enjoyed the beach and loved living at Sunset Beach. Debby also enjoyed her flowers, plants, seashells and especially daylilies.
She is survived by children Robert Nicholas Thompson (Nicole) of Thomasville, NC, Ashley Lynn McWilliams (Bruce) of Charleston, SC, Jacob Lynn Harris of Sunset Beach, NC; step-children Thelbert Eugene Pate of Cameron, NC, Kevin Everette Pate of Cameron, NC, Kelly Pate of Sanford, NC; siblings Wes Giles (Karen) of Whiteville, NC, John David Giles of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Adam), Laney, Lewyn, Alyza, Chloie, Zoey, Jaxson; great-granddaughter Isla and her fur-babies Belle, Amber, Ginger and Major.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pineywood Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tom Brown officiating.
