Debra K. Rapien

Debra K. Rapien, age 71, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away at 3:46 am on March 24, 2023, at River Crossing of Edwardsville. Debbie was born October 1, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Harold W. & Margaret A. (Strauss) Jones. Debbie married Larry E. Rapien on July 4, 1989, in Blunt County, TN. Besides her husband of 33 years, Debbie is survived by 5 children, Ed Rapien & wife Tammy of Troy, MO, Angela Conley of Edwardsville, IL, Christina Bauer of Gillespie, IL, Dan Rapien of Creve Coeur, MO, and Scott Rapien, of Glen Carbon, IL; 13 grandchildren; and a brother, Durk Bryant, of Sun City West, AZ. Besides her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her son Scott Davis and two sisters, Connie Eckdhal and Sandy Davis. She worked for many years as a respiratory therapist at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City and Anderson Hospital in Maryville until her retirement in 2014. Debbie also volunteered at Granny's Attic in Maryville, IL. Debbie will be cremated according to her wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the DEBRA Organization for her skin disease. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville is in charge of arrangements.
