Debra I. Shepard

POTSDAM - Debra "Debbie" Shepard,74, a resident of Mayfield Drive, Potsdam, left us on January 21, 2026 at the age of 74 after a brief illness and stay at the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Massena. Born on January 7, 1952, Debbie found true happiness in simple pleasures. After graduating from Norwood-Norfolk High School, she dedicated many years to lovingly caring for her parents. She embodies the spirit of a true dog mom to Mollie. Debbie found joy in activities like bingo, reading good books, and listening to her favorite music, and she treasured time spent with her sister, Diane.

Debbie is survived by her brother Donald Shepard Jr., and his partner Diane; her sister Diane Liebfred, and her husband David; and her brother Dale Luther. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. We take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her parents, Donald and Irene, and her siblings Danny, Duane, Donna, and Dorene, who passed before her. Per her wishes there will be no services at this time, a private family burial will occur in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
