Debra Turner was born in 1955 to parents Walter and Delphine Sypniewski. She attended the public school system in Detroit, Michigan. Debra graduated with the class of 1972 at Edwin Denby High School. Later, Debra attended Sante Fe Community College, Gainesville, FL, studying Elementary Education. Soon after, she was employed by Shands @ UF where she eventually retired. Playing bingo, reading, traveling and spending time with her family were a few of the things she enjoyed most. Teaching and making a difference in the lives she touched was Debra's passion. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her daughters, Alicia Turner, SyrettaTurner, Anika Days (Ronald Jr.), Christine Turner; the LOVE of her life of more than 50 years, Darryl Turner Sr.; grandchildren, Shambria, Lil Steve, Jalen, Stephon, Makel, Arianna, Michael, Maliq, Deja, Makai, Aaliyah, Madden, Noah; great grandchildren Naszir, Nurii, Jayce; her special fur baby, Iggy; siblings, Michael Sypniewski (John Storms) and Denise Kozik (Jeff); Robert Sypniewski; God son, Shahaan Turner; God daughter Angel Shrader; bonus family, Tunle, Rick, Miguel, Demetrius, Kvonn, Roxanna, Jathan. She was preceded in death by her son Darryl Turner Jr. and siblings, Karen Hernandez Sypniewski and Cheryl Blackmon Sypniewski.
