Debra Jewell Wheeler

Debra Jewell Wheeler, 66, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away peacefully Friday, August 29, 2025 at her home. She'd been ill for some time and was under the care of hospice and her loving husband, Bart Wheeler, and her son, Jason Fogle, at the time of her passing.
Debra was born on May 23, 1959 to the late Stanley P. Jewell and Rose C. Jewell. In addition to her late parents, an older brother, Robert "Bobby" Costello preceded her in death.
Debra was a Loudoun County native and lived and worked in the county she grew up in. She had recently retired from her bookkeeper position in Hillsboro and moved to Harpers Ferry in March 2024.
In addition to her husband Bart, and son Jason, Debra is survived by two brothers, Michael Jewell and Timothy Jewell. She was particularly proud of, and loved spending time with, her nephew, PFC Tim Jewell (Marine) and niece Allison Jewell Cantrell.
Debra loved the outdoors! She was most happy spending time at the beach or camping with loved ones and friends. She leaves behind many family members and friends who miss her dearly and will always treasure the memories made with Debbie.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held in the near future.
