Debra Zapf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - De Pere on Dec. 16, 2025.
Debra Sue Zapf, 65, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones after a gallant fight with cancer.
Debra was born to Daryl Longfellow and Carol Davis and grew up in Georgetown, Illinois, where she developed the strength, independence, and compassion that would define her life. She dedicated many years to caring for others as a nurse, offering comfort and kindness to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Caring for people was not just her profession - it was who she was.
Debra was known for her ability to make others feel safe and cared for. She was overwhelmingly kind, fiercely loving, terribly stubborn in the best way, and incredibly devoted to her family. She could always be counted on to make others feel seen, heard and loved.
She had a joyful side that shined through her laughter when trying to tell jokes and get out witty remarks and her love of 70s music and a good disco party, embracing life with rhythm, laughter, and a full heart. Her greatest joy, however, was time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Walker and Miranda, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Debra is survived by her daughter Natalie Gollofon and husband Rob, and grandchildren Walker and Miranda Gollofon of Missoula, MT, and her daughter Leslie Zapf and husband Shane Gillespie of Green Bay, WI.
She is preceded in death by her son Robert Zapf, and is now lovingly reunited in heaven with him, and her furry loved ones Cheyenne, Missie and Sam.
Debra's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her care, compassion, and unwavering love. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
Per Debra's request, there will be no formal funeral services.
