Dee Leverne Beville, Sr., 89, of Matoaca, VA, dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, departed this life on Saturday, April 6, 2024. He was the son of the late John Dee and Inez Hunt Beville. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Wilkerson and Carolyn Williams. He attended Swift Creek Baptist Church. He dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 12, and was a faithful believer all of his life. Dee retired from Fort Lee with 38 years of dedicated Federal Service. He was a member of the Dinwiddie Diamonds and POGO Club. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed dancing, working in his yard, and daylily gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Perkinson Beville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dee Beville, Jr. and wife, Patricia, and Rodney Beville and wife, Jill; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jennifer Beville Obenshain and husband, Chris, and their children, Essex and Jude; Daniel Beville and wife, Andrea, and their children, Kaydee and Everleigh; Ethan Beville; Courtney Beville Janovsky and husband, Eric; his loving brother and wife, Wayne and Carolyn Beville; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dee loved his family very much and they were very important to him.
Special thanks to Suncrest Hospice team members, Clint, Kelly, Megan, Shannon, and Brad, for the tender care and assistance they provided.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the Mausoleum of Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805, with John Nobles of Matoaca Gospel Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swift Creek Baptist Church, 18510 Branders Bridge Road, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, or to Suncrest Hospice, 7301 Forest Avenue, Suite 110, Richmond, VA 23226.
