DeeDee Powell Evans

DeeDee Powell Evans, 72, of Tifton, Georgia, formerly of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, surrounded by her family and her English Cocker Spaniel, Honey.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Mrs. Evans was born April 22, 1952, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Jimmy R. Powell and the late Edith Henderson Powell Burt. She dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jamie & Pam Evans of Irwin County; daughter, Jodi & Chase Lott of Tifton; grandchildren: Jaelyn Evans, Kelsey Evans, Bowen Lott, and Brooke Powell; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Steve & Kim Powell of Valdosta; nephews, Steven & Abi Powell and Harlan & Kelsey Shackelford; as well as many members of the Evans family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard "Rick" Evans.
