Our beloved Deena was born in Boston, Ma March 19, 2015, and peacefully passed away on September 12, 2024, in her mother's arms youngest child of Nardia Pennant and sister to Amoy and AJ has been battling Neuroblastoma since 2018 at the age of 3. She continued to relapse but didn't let cancer stop her from being a firecracker! Deena attended Boston Public Schools and was in the 3rd grade. She was outspoken, funny, vibrant, joyful courageous and at times she showed us her sassy side. Deena enjoyed playing with LOL Dolls, her chef toys, dollhouse, Minnie and Mickey and her iPad which she played Roblox and other cool games. Dancing is what you could almost always see Deena doing and in the best of style with a matching hat and glasses. A 9-year-old that loved ramen, takis and spicy food, but always a home cooked meal from her momma. She is survived by her mother Nardia, father Dino Thomas and stepmother Kerisa, sisters Amoy and TiTi, brothers AJ, Tino, Lebron, and Jahmay aunts and uncles, cousins' grandparents, and many friends, On behalf of the family we would like to thank everyone who had an impact on her life.

Every time I saw Deena in clinic, I would shout out, "Deena!", and she would give the most beautiful smile. I loved her spunky attitude. She was always so good for me when I did her dressing changes and other not-so-fun procedures we had do. What a cutie pie she was. Her main goal was to play. I loved her spirit. Her mom, Nardia, is a treasure. She gave her the best life possible. We will truly miss Deena. Love, Nurse Erin
