Deepa Joseph

Deepa Joseph, a resident of Missouri City, Texas, peacefully passed away on September 7th,
2024, at the age of 49.
Born on March 18th, 1975, in Peroor, Kerala, India, Deepa completed her primary education at
St Joseph's High School, Kottayam. She then completed her college education with a BA in
literature from St. Kuriakose Elias College in Manannanam, Kerala, India. She went on to
complete a BSC nursing at Gulbarga University, Karnataka, India and after years of dedicated
service as a nurse, completed her coursework for Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas
at El Paso.
On January 11, 2001, Deepa and Shyju entered matrimony, having celebrated 23 years of their
loving and inspiring journey this past January.
For the past 26 years, Deepa has been giving her all in the field of nursing. She first started out
as a teacher with the Kamineni group of hospitals in Andhra Pradesh. In the Middle East, she
was a nurse at Al Shatti hospital in Muscat, Oman. After moving to the United States, she
worked for the HCA group in Lexington, Missouri. Finally, in Houston, she worked for Park
Plaza, Methodist and Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center.
Deepa was a confident, hard-working, intelligent woman who put others before herself in every
situation. She balanced her roles as being a mother, a coworker, and a student in her life
through sheer determination as evidenced by her excellent GPA and the memories she has left
behind.
