Delbert is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Ann Duncan of Greenwood; three children: Delbert Duncan Jr. (Cathy) of Indianapolis, Michael Duncan (Carla) of Greenwood, and Debra Duncan of Greenwood; six grandchildren: Jared, Wendy, Alisha, Cory, Delbert III, and Tyler; several great grandchildren; and brother, William Duncan (Vickie) of Indianapolis.
Delbert is preceded in death by both of his parents; grandson, Dustin; and three siblings: Peggy, Melvin, and Kenneth.
Delbert joined the United States Army and was discharged in 1956 after serving during the Korean War. As the Director of Red Ball Moving Company in Indianapolis for 30 years, he embodied dedication and perseverance, retiring in 1999. His passions included bowling, fishing, playing pool, and traveling, showcasing his zest for life. Driving a semi-truck across the country, with Las Vegas as a favorite destination, he embraced adventure and exploration. Known for his unforgettable saying, "Whistle Dixie," Delbert exemplified strength and determination, inspiring those around him.
A private visitation will be held at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. Delbert will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
