Delbert Black Eyes

Delbert Kenneth Black Eyes was born on May 10, 1966, in Pine Ridge, SD to Pauline (Black Eyes) Richards. Delbert made his journey to the Spirit World on June 28, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.
Delbert had the biggest heart and a huge loud laugh, and loved family; always asking about his Colo. Family and Martin Family. He loved everyone and lived in Tulsa, OK with his mother for many years. He loved Tulsa but wanted to come back to his Rez, his home, unfortunately he didn't make it back home physically but his spirit came home to rest in peace with his relations. He loved the Nebraska Corn Huskers, the Oklahoma City Thunder, playing horseshoes, his dogs and his daily phone calls even though he lived thousands of miles away he still kept in touch. He will be missed so much.
Delbert is survived by his brother, Richard Black Eyes; and aunt, Ramona Smith.
Delbert was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Black Eyes; grandmother, Angeline Richards-Black Eyes; mother, Pauline Black Eyes-Davis; step-father, Larry Davis; aunts, Clydine Black Eyes and Charlotte Black Eyes; cousin, Thomas Black Eyes; and uncles, Billy Ratt Smith and Reynold Richards.
Pallbearers will be Earl Richards, Jr., Carlos Janis, Sr., Conan Janis, Richard Black Eyes, Kooleo Janis, Santana Janis, Antowan Janis, Zekie Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, and Ronnie Valenzuela.

Wake Services: Two night wake services will start at 4:00 PM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
