Daniel Ivan Feist was born on February 10, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to Leo Joseph Feist and Marlene Little Spotted Horse-Andersen. Daniel made his journey to the Spirit World on September 24, 2025 at his home in Aurora, CO. Daniel is a great-great grandson of Chief Sitting Bull on his mothers side of the family.

Daniel is survived by sisters, Lavonne Bradshaw and Catherine Andersen-Franks; brothers, Lawrence Feist and Robert Andersen; aunt, Ethel Bates; and uncle, Ernest LaPointe.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Leo Joseph Feist; mother, Marlene (Little Spotted Horse) Andersen; grandfather, Alison Little Spotted Horse; grandmother, Angelique (Claude) LaPointe; cousins, Willard Red Paint, Ronald Red Paint, and Gloria Red Paint; aunt, Lydia Red Paint; and nephews, Angello Reyes and Stanley Bear Nose.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Feist, Robert Andersen, James Fletcher, John Bates, Dakota Pontious, and Kimemela Pontious.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Bradshaw, Wesley Bradshaw, Reynaldo Montelongo, Angelique Reyes, Rebecca Bradshaw, Leanne Bradshaw, Ernest LaPointe, Catherine Andersen, and All Friends & Relatives.

Viewing Services: Viewing services will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD

Funeral Services: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD.

Officiating: Pastor Asa Wilson

Burial Services: Makasan Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Oglala, SD
