George Black Feather was born on May 14, 1957 in Pine Ridge, SD to Steven and Irene (Slow Bear) Black Feather. George made his journey to the Spirit World on August 25, 2025 at his home in Aberdeen, SD.

George is survived by his sister, Corine Black Feather; brother, Duane Black Feather; nieces & nephews, Chari Miranda, Vanessa Buchanan, Mariah Stuck, Vickie Nachatilo, Ravon Apple, Jr.; and numerous other beloved nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Black Feather and Irene (Slow Bear) Black Feather; sisters, Emma Black Feather, Theresa Brown, and Mary Poor Bear; brothers, Eddie Black Feather; nephew, Leo Hawk Wing, Jr.; aunts, Esther Red Nest; and uncle, Philomath Slow Bear.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Buckman, Julian Buckman, Chiotah Buckman, Xavier Leftwich, Angela Poor Bear, Darien Hill, Allance Rowland, Tylo American Horse, John Witt, Jon Jealous, and Francis Poor Bear.

Honorary pallbearers will be Corine Black Feather & Family, Chari Miranda & Family, Tina Buckman & Family, Marian Jealous & Family, Daniel Poor Bear & Family, Aaron Poor Bear & Family, Julie Poor Bear & Family, Eric Poor Bear & Family, Isaiah Ray Poor Bear & Family, Francis Poor Bear & Family, Duane Black Feather, Delores Red Nest & Family, Edison Red Nest & Family, Dora Good Plume, Cheryl Reyes & Family, Mary Condon & Family, Slow Bear Family, Red Nest Family, Black Feather Families, Dreamer Families, Gillispie Family, Aberdeen Nursing Home, Aspire Redfield Development Home, and all friends & relatives.

Wake Services: One night wake service will be held at 3:30 PM, Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with evening services with Rosary starting at 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD

Officiating: Father Robert and Joyce Tibbitts

Burial Services: Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery, Oglala, SD
