MAYSVILLE — Delbert Wayne Hatfield, 85, of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 26, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center.
Delbert was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Manchester, Ohio, to the late Everett Lee Hatfield and the late Ada Purcell Hatfield.
He was a jack of all trades, a handyman that could fix anything. His favorite sports were Nascar and watching the UK Wildcats play basketball. Delbert enjoyed working on cars, watching westerns and loved spending time with family.
Survivors include his granddaughters, Sierra Hatfield and Brittany Hatfield; grandson, Jeffrey Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Kaleah Hatfield, Kysen Kimball, Blake, and Gavin Baldwin; sister Christine Hatfield Purcell; daughter-in-law Pamela Hatfield; and his special friend and caregiver, Kashtyn Kimball.
Besides his parents, Delbert is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Applegate Hatfield; daughter, Teresa Reese; son, Harvey Hatfield; brothers, Herman, Carl, Calvin, and Everett Hatfield; and sister, Joyce Hatfield Stratton.
Services for Delbert Hatfield will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Marilyn Roades officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
