Delbert Ray Quimby, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025.
Delbert was born on February 9, 1941, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to Charles “Red” Quimby and Mary Quimby. Delbert was a true working man, always working hard to provide for his family and often sacrificing so much of himself for the people he loved. He began working as a paper boy at a young age before joining the family business, Advanced Foundry, first in Denver and later in Lafayette. Delbert eventually transitioned his career, working two jobs for several years before retiring as a production manager with Lexmark International. He was a proud man who expressed his love through hard work and action. When not working, he found joy in coaching youth soccer in Arvada, and later in life, he enjoyed playing bingo with friends.
He is survived by his five children: Mark Quimby, Michael Quimby, Christine Freelove, David Quimby, and James Quimby; his brother, Richard “Dick” Quimby; and his sister, Sharron Kramer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Llani Quimby.
