Delfa Fullington Ford, 92, passed away on September 1, 2025. Services will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 11 am at Hill Street Baptist Church, 2203 Dixie Highway. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Delfa was a native of Jamaica where she spent her early years. She attended the Patty Hill Basic School and later Maryland All Age School in the parish of Hanover. She grew up in a Christian home and these principles guided the course of her life. She worked at Northshore dairy in Montego Bay. She later migrated to the United States of America in 1970's. She resided in Indiana for a short period of time, in which one of her good friends Silvia English encourage her to move to Louisville, KY, where she met additional Jamaicans & friends over the years. She obtained her Citizenship in 1978. She was married to Edward B. Ford in September, 1979, who preceded her in death. She later retired, after 26+ years at University of Louisville College Campus in Environmental Services. Being the energetic person she was, she returned to the campus to work with Service Solution Compass, until her health took a change.

Delfa leaves behind three children, Ashley Taylor, Paul Mahoney, Junae Mahoney (daughter-in-law) & Shirley Price, Keith Price (son-in-law); Sylvia Fullington (sister); grandchildren: Paullisha Mahoney, Deshon Batts, Kelsie Smithson & Deshaye Batts; great grandchildren: Malachi, Jayla & Justice & a host of nieces & nephews.

This beautiful flower has wilted and has left behind seeds of love and unity. These seeds can be personified as the life she lived was complete and has left trails for us to follow. Bon voyage, sweet darling mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. God loves you best!
