Delia Hernandez, a beloved educator and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2026, at the age of 100. Born in Santa Clara, Cuba, Delia moved to the United States with her husband Juan, to pursue a better life for her children, Juani and Pedri. She dedicated her life to her family, friends and church.
At a very young age, she was the first in her family to become a Seventh-Day Adventist. She then shared the gospel with her family and her passion for ministry began. After arriving in South Florida in the late 1960's she helped start several churches and became a dedicated leader for many years. As a Sabbath School teacher for the adults, she shared her passion and love for Jesus. She took pride in working hard and caring for others. At the age of 90 she was still very active, wearing her heels and driving around helping those in need. Her kindness, passion for education, and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on her family and friends. Despite the loss of her two sons recently, she is survived by her 6 grandkids, and 7 great-grandkids.
Funeral Services for Delia will be held on January 30, 2026, 10am at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, FL. 32806.
