Delia Torres, age 94, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1931, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to a large and loving family of 15 siblings.
Delia was raised in Puerto Rico, where she met her beloved husband, the late Victoriano Torres. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and faith. Delia was known for her humble spirit, kind heart, and passion for cooking. She worked diligently as a machine operator and was admired for her strong work ethic and generosity toward others.
She was the devoted mother of six children: León Rivera, Raúl Rivera, Edwin Torres, Freddy Torres, Victor Torres, and William Torres. Delia’s greatest joy was her family, and her gentle presence and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. If you would like to share a memory or light a virtual candle in her honor, please visit communityfuneralchapels.com.
Delia leaves behind her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and daughters-in-law. She is predeceased by her husband and all her siblings. Delia’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
