Della Greslin Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home - Broadus on Dec. 17, 2025.
Della went to heaven on December 15th 2025 after a brave battle with cancer.
Della Mae Gaskill Greslin was born on June 28, 1942, to Ila Mitchell Gaskill & Charley Gaskill at the Abby hospital in Miles City MT. She was the first of 3 children born to this union. She was later joined by her little sister Poppy in 1946 then brother Dick in 1947.
Della attended her grade school years at the Leosch school. She often spoke about the wagon rides to school in the winter and how cold it was on the ride to school and how they used baked potatoes to keep warm on those frigid days then the potatoes doubled as lunch for them. She attended high school at Broadus High School having to come stay in town all week for school. After graduating in 1961 Della went to college in rapid city majoring in business. There she met the love of her life Ken Greslin, together they lived in Deadwood until the fall of 1964. They then moved to Pumpkin Creek at Volborg, Montana where they continued their life and built a family. To this union came 2 children Donna Marie in 1964 and Kenneth Charles (K.C.) in 1965.
Della worked at St Labre in Ashland as a title one teacher, and later at the motor service store keeping books. She also drove school bus. In 1979 the family packed up and moved to the Johnson place where they lived until they moved into Broadus when they opened the Powder River Taxidermy. They built the new Powder River Taxidermy where it stands now in 1990. In 2003 they sold the taxidermy and bought Sharon's flowers where she worked until her retirement in 2010. From there she liked to work in her yard and tend to her flower beds. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. It didn't matter if it was blistering hot 100° in the shade day, she was out taking care of all her beauties. Della & Ken, Poppy & Slug, Dick & Sherry, Janet & Gerald, and Ronnie & Ruthie also made an annual trip to Las Vegas Nevada for the NFR for over 25 years. Della could drive tractor and work hard all day in the sun & still come home and crank out amazing home cooked meals, she loved to cook.
Della is preceded in death by her mother & father, son K.C., sister in law Sherry Gaskill, brother Dick Gaskill, brother in law Slug Mills, and brother in law Ralph "Fritz" Greslin. She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Donna(Tom) Giacometto, sister Poppy Mills, granddaughters Koreena Greslin, Sami (BJ) Greslin, & Brittani(Jaymin) Aurand, grandsons Garrett Greslin & Kashus (Brooklyn) Giacometto, great grandchildren Austyn (Brittani & Jaymin) Aurand, Clara (Garrett) Greslin, Kennedy (Sami & BJ) Schoonover & Kohen (Kashus & Brooklyn) Giacometto, as well as many special nieces & nephews.
