Della Kattner Obituary
Della Kattner was born April 14, 1960, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Della was a prior medical assistant and loved to dance. She was a mother of four boys and one girl. She could always find the whimsey in any situation and her laugh was contagious. She made the best Christmas cookies every year and was a great cook.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick J. Dettrey and Dorothy May (Pennebaker); her eldest brother, Chris Dettrey; sister, Lilly Womack; her ex-spouse, David C. Piatt Sr.; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Piatt.
Survivors include her brothers, Christopher Dettrey, Eric Dettrey, James Dettrey; sister, Grace Nordai; her sons, David Piatt, Douglas Piatt, Daryl Piatt, Derek Piatt; and her daughter, Tara Kattner; her grandchildren, David C Piatt III, Dakota Piatt, Kaitlyn Nohara, Daryl Piatt Jr., Darrick Piatt, Devin Piatt, Destiny Piatt and Desiree Piatt.
Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
