A TIME TO BE BORN: Della Robin (Boyer) Walker's life journey began Saturday, January 17, 1959. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Betty Clara Broadus Darling and David Brutus Boyer.
A TIME TO LIVE: Della received her formal education from Columbus City Schools. She was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and the Ohio State Barber College. In her early years, Della was employed at Schottenstein and later, worked at Chase Bank and Target store.
A TIME TO LOVE: Della gave birth to a beautiful bouncing baby girl, January Diana Angel. On June 20, 1984, Della married the apple of her eye, Daryl B. Walker and from this union, they gave birth to Daryl Bennett Walker II.
Della loved her family. She was one of four children from her parents, in addition to two half siblings. She loved her children and grandchildren and was very good at capturing family special moments. She was the favorite auntie to all her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Della enjoyed the holidays; Christmas was her favorite.
If you met Della, you would remember her. Her children's friends called her mom. Della was the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing and always had fun games and items at family events. She loved to shop and buy gifts. Della would get out and play games with the kids. She enjoyed traveling with her siblings as well as going to Houston to see her children and grandchildren.
A TIME TO DEPART: Della Robin Walker flew softly into the arms of God on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was sixty-five years of age. Della was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Daryl B. Walker, Sr. and her parents, Betty Clara Broadus Darling and David Brutus Boyer.
Della is survived by her children, January Angel and Daryl Walker II; stepdaughters, Yolanda (Stephen) Hart and Darlene Walker; stepsons, Darron Houston and Delfont (Latasha) Springs; grandsons, Jarod Reed, Arjai Burress, Daryl Walker III, Daman Reed, Samir Williams-Walker, Stevonté Hart, Allen Austin, Japhron Chapman Jr., Jamel Chapmen, Naithan Hagan, Rayshawn Springs, and Richard Springs; granddaughters, Sarinity Walker, Angeline Williams-Walker, Jayonna McElroy, Desiree Diggs, Diamyn Foster, Janelle Chapman, Darionna Walker, Niaja Springs, and Aaliyah Lemons; sisters, Velda (Charles) Otey, Rowena (Barrya) Coleman; brother, David (Norma) Boyer, Sr.; stepbrother, Terry (Carmelita) Boyer; stepsister, Ida Boyer; special daughter, Takisha Pleasant; special sons, Daman Reed, Blake Black, Rashad Cook, Alanzo King, Robert McPherson, and Maurice McPherson; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
