Delores M. Borsheim

Delores M. Borsheim, 103, Fargo, ND, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Bethany on 42nd in Fargo.

Delores Marie Ross was born October 14, 1921, in Cummings, ND, to Harold and Esther (Anderson) Ross. She was raised on the family farm with her four sisters.

A graduate of Oak Grove High School and Interstate Business College in Fargo, Delores carried with her a rich education that complemented her nurturing spirit. Her unwavering faith and warm personality made her a strong pillar of support for her loved ones. She was a devoted woman of prayer, often interceding on behalf of her family and friends, whose lives were deeply influenced by her spiritual guidance.

Delores was united in marriage to Lewis Borsheim on May 10, 1944, in Hillsboro, ND. Their union marked the beginning of a journey filled with cherished memories and a strong Christian foundation that shaped their family’s values.

She was a devoted mother and a wonderful homemaker who dedicated her life to creating a stable home overflowing with affection and warmth for her children. In addition to raising her family, Delores’s was active with her church and also served on the board of Child Evangelism in Fargo.

Delores treasured special moments spent with her family, particularly during the holidays. Her strength, her prayers, and her commitment to family and faith will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished, as she now rests peacefully in the comforting embrace of her Lord Jesus.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Dawn (John) Dingfield; two sons, Dan (Shelley) Borsheim and Richard Borsheim; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, LaDonna (Mel) Gemmill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis; daughter-in-law, Lolene Borsheim (Richard's wife) and three sisters, Verna (Ordell) Johnson, Eleanor Ross, Arlene (Vernon) Anderson.

Memorial service for Delores will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 AM, in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church – East Campus in Moorhead. Family and friends will gather one hour prior. Delores will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lewis, at Carlson Cemetery in Cummings, ND.
