Delores J. Brodhagen, age 93, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 17, 2025. She was born June 14, 1932 in Kingsford, MI, daughter of the late Harold L. and Leone F. (Ballard) Duke and was a graduate of Kingsford High School, Class of 1950.
After graduation, Delores moved to Milwaukee, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth G. Brodhagen Sr., while he was on leave from the Air Force. The couple was wed 42 days later, on August 4, 1951, and began their life full of adventures. They relocated first to Oklahoma, where they started welcoming their children. Later, Ken's military duties brought the family to live in Illinois, England and Massachusetts. While living in Illinois, Delores and Ken took up the hobby of archery, in which they became very skilled. They continued with archery, including participating in the Robin Hood Tournament at Nottingham, England in the early 1960's.
It was while the family was residing in Massachusetts that Ken was called to serve in the Vietnam War, so Delores brought the children to the Green Bay, WI area to be closer to family in Michigan and Wisconsin. While in Green Bay, Delores and Ken began to enjoy metal detecting. Together they built their cherished cottage at Chute Pond, where they spend many days with family and friends making memories.
Delores is survived by 4 children: Kenneth G. (Julie) Brodhagen Jr., Michael Brodhagen, Keith (Pam) Brodhagen and Barbara (Christopher) Hennes; 6 grandchildren: Amanda (Edward) Maki, Christopher (Jessica) Brodhagen, Bethany (Derek) Anderson, Maggie (Alex) Markovic, Nicholas (fiancée, Alicia Weidor) Hennes and Lauren Hennes and 3 great-grandchildren: Iris Brodhagen, Luka Markovic and Oliver Hennes. She is further survived by a daughter-in-law, Laura Brodhagen, sister-in-law, Dorothy Duke, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth G. Brodhagen Sr., a son, Mark D. Brodhagen and 3 siblings: Harold Duke Sr., Elizabeth "Betty" (John) Phillips, and Ann (Ed) Mayer.
Visitation will be held at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum (2770 Bay Settlement Rd., Green Bay, WI), Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 NOON. A funeral service will follow at 12 NOON. Entombment will be in the mausoleum.
