Delores Ann Johnson, 84 of Meriden passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025 at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Middletown, CT on December 2, 1941. She is the daughter of the late Doris Spencer.
She worked various jobs over the years including companions and homemakers until her retirement. It brought her great joy to serve her clients. She was known for always making them her famous banana bread. She was known as Dolly to everyone and mom and gram to many others than just her own. She always had an open door for anyone and a hug waiting. She was a great friend and cherished hers dearly. She is so loved and adored by many. She was the matriarch of her beautiful family and the biggest piece of our heart. She will be very missed.
Delores was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind her two cherished sons Maurice Fuchs of Wallingford and Harry Johnson of Norwich. She is predeceased by her five beautiful daughters, Cheryl Fuchs, Doreen Fuchs, Jacquelynn Fuchs, Melinda Fuchs and Jessica Johnson.
She leaves behind her 12 loving grandchildren Damin, Billy, Monica, Chrissy, Denise, Bobby, Alan, Stephanie, Brittany, Brandon, Junie and Micah. She also leaves behind her 18 great grandchildren whom she loved very much. She cared for some of them over the years (Savannah and Kayleigh) (Makaela, Alan and Avery) leaving behind some of their most cherished childhood memories growing up at her house.
A memorial service will be had on December 27, 2025 from 2-4pm at Brooklawn Funeral Home 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill.
