Delores McCalip

Edwina "Delores" McCalip, 89, of McComb, MS passed away April 25, 2024 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pike Memorial Gardens. Bro. Ken Felder will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Delores was born on November 27, 1934 to Grady Smith and Ivy Bea Smith.
She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church. She had a Bachelors degree in Education and taught school for several local schools. She continued her career as a vocational counselor with the MS Employment Service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed McCalip, her brother Ansel Smith and a sister Claira Bea Burchfield.
She is survived by children Anthony Felder (Lisa) of Summit, Andra Felder (Sandra) of McComb, Terry Felder (Laurie) of Clinton, stepdaughter Vickie Webb of McComb, stepson Eddie McCalip (Tina) of McComb, grandchildren Bryant Felder, Holly Nunez, Dane Felder, Lacey Holmes (Brad), Logan Stewart, Jeremy Felder (Stephanie), Kerry Stringer (Justin), Nicole Wicker (Rocky), Kory Felder, Linsey Felder, and Christian Felder, numerous great grandchildren, a sister Bobbie Ray, along with other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and her little dog Buddy.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Felder, Kory Felder, Christian Felder, Dane Felder, Jude Fleming and Rocky Wicker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lukas Felder and Alvin Dickerson.
