In loving memory of DeLores Molenstra (nee Muffit), August 23, 1928 – October 11, 2925, wife of the late Eugene Molenstra.
DeLores was a beloved wife and mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Dee left behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and devotion to those she cherished. Dee dedicated her life to her sweetheart Gene, her 3 boys; John, Al, Don, her entire family, and her friends.
Dee met her sweetheart at a dance hall, on 63rd and Halsted. Gene was a farmer from Oak Lawn, and DeLores was a city girl. They dated, and were married on September 23, 1950. They moved to Mt. Greenwood to raise their family.
DeLores is survived by her loving family, John (Nancy) Molenstra, Alan (Debbie) Molenstra, and Donald (Michelle) Molenstra; Cherished grandmother to Starr (Steve) Casto, Brandi (Ryer) Lenters, John (Stephanie) Molenstra, Jr., Larissa (Mike) Lazzari, Kelly (Steve) Landers, Alan (Jennifer) Molenstra, Jr., Ryan (Megan) Molenstra, Christina (Ryan) Bocken, Steven (Stephanie) Molenstra, the late Michael Wetzel, Chris (Erin) Wetzel, Jake Heeter, and Cassi Heeter, Proud great-grandmother to numerous great-grandchildren; Fond sister to the late Kenneth Muffit, Keith Muffit, and survived by Marion Burke (nee Muffit); Visitation Thursday 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.; Chapel Service Friday 11:00 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St. Chicago Ridge; Interment Holy Sepulchre; For Funeral info (708) 422-2700, or www.curleyfuneralhome.com.
