She graduated from Pilot Grove, Missouri and attended college at State Fair. Delores worked in manufacturing as well as accounting in various places. Delores retired from Morgan County R-2 School.
In 1959, she married Robert Wayne Nichols, son of Robert Nichols, Jr. and Mildred Armina Hooper. They were married 65 years and had five children: Kimberlie Diane McGinnis married to Tildon McGinnis; Robert Troy Nichols married Belinda Lee (Comstock) Nichols; Karen Galene Rhoads married to David Rhoads; Janatta Leigh Klein married to John Kent Klein and Leslie LeAn Nichols; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Wayne Nichols; two children, Troy Nichols and Karen Rhoads; son-in-law, John Klein; and daughter-in-law, Belinda Nichols.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held on December 8th, at 10:30 a.m., at Miller's Chapel Cemetery in the Longwood Area in Pettis County, Missouri.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
