Delores Smith

Smith, Delores M. – of Clio, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Gross Assisted Living. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2022, at Messiah Lutheran Church – 520 Butler St. in Clio. Rev. Erik Cloeter will officiate. A private burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 4PM until 8PM at Church and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
Delores was born on June 4, 1936, in Flint, Michigan to the late Alexander and Leona (Stakrman) Hartley. She married the love of her life Dwayne Smith on March 13, 1954, he preceded her in passing in 2007. Delores was an avid member in the church. Scheduling church activities and being a charter member of the church. She enjoyed needle pointing in her free time. Most of all she loved her family. Delores was a very classy and respectable women who will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Children: Judy (Jake) Gayari, and Rodney (Sharon) Smith; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
