Deloris Johnson

Deloris Johnson 88 passed from this life on March 4, 2024. She was born April 4, 1935, in Spur, Texas to Jack and Margie Carnes Johnson. She attended her first three years of school in Spur then attended school in Dickens. She married Edgar Witt on July 30, 1950, and had three children Mickey, Trudy, and Tami. Their marriage ended in 1964, she married Wallace Johnson on March 26, 1965, together they raised their three children, Wallace was her beloved husband, best friend, and soulmate. Deloris worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for High Plains Boll Weevil Control Program for fourteen years, then went to work for Crosbyton Clinic Hospital for eight years in the bookkeeping Department. The most important thing to Deloris was her family, she loved family gatherings and preparing meals for them.
Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, her son Mickey, her sisters Patsy Green, and Deanie Wellborn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Wallace Johnson of Crosbyton, two daughters: Trudy Ferguson of Quitman, and Tami Witt of Crosbyton. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Crosbyton Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
