Deloris "Nanny" Mounce

Deloris "Nanny" Mounce, age 82, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by her family at Circle of Life. She was born in Springdale, Arkansas, Deloris was the daughter of Rev. Hosea Harrelson and Mamie Harrelson.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who truly enjoyed being around her family and found her greatest joy in spending time together, whether sharing stories, celebrations, or simply being present in everyday moments. Known affectionately as "Nanny," she was the heart of her family, offering comfort, strength, and unconditional love to all who knew her.

Deloris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.R. Mounce, her son, Johnny Edward Mounce; her brothers, Hosea Harrelson, Jr. and Sonny Harrelson; and her sister, Leona Jones.

She is survived by her children, Danny Mounce and Sabrena Perkins (Johnny); her sisters, Bernice and Donna; her cherished granddaughters, Ashley Ritchie (Randon), Danyelle McJunkins (Jonathan), and Lacey Wagner (Trevor); and her great-grandchildren, Jakob, Kayden, Brayden, Ryan, Paisley, Teigan, and Kleston.

Deloris will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to family, and the love she so freely gave. Though she deeply missed her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the countless memories she created.

Graveside services will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Hickory Creek Cemetery at 11am with Pastor Danny Williams officiating.
