Deloris Neely Obituary
Deloris was born November 18, 1941 in Pike County, IL the daughter of Lyndell Bliss and Edith Lois (Gourley) Kern. Deloris Kern was united in marriage to A.H. Neely I and to this union was born three children: Mary Mefford (Max) of Shelbina, MO, Kelly Jones of Pittsfield, IL, and Arnie Neely of Shelbina, MO.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber Poor (Justin), Ashley Goetze (Charlie), Jared Harshman (Kristen), Kayli Harshman, Logan Harshman, Neely Jones, Peyton Jones, Jamie Aragon (Justin), Brandi Pressley (Justin), Taylor Neely (Erick Billups); and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter; one brother, Johnie Kern; and two sisters, Betty Johnson and Sue Smith.
Deloris was a member of the Cubs World Series Fan Club. She also was a member of the Shelbina Christian Church and a former member of the Milton Christian Church in IL. She enjoyed the coffee club at the Shelbina Christian Church, Thursday Bible Study at the Church, boat rides on Arnie's lake, and tending to her garden and flowers.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 9 am to 11 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO, followed by the funeral service starting at 11 am at the funeral home, with Mitchell Seaton as the officiant. Graveside service will be held at the Time Cemetery, near Pittsfield, IL at 3pm. Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Christian Church Youth Program or the Time Cemetery.
